Dear Youth of the Lehi Utah Pheasant Pointe Stake,
This year we will be doing a 3-day and 2-night pioneer trek in Muddy Creek Wyoming from July 18th to July 20th 2016. The trek route includes the original Pioneer Trail, where you will be able to see artifacts and graves from the original pioneers who sacrificed much for the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We will be dressing in authentic pioneer clothing, so now is the time to make or borrow appropriate clothing. Ward youth activities nights may also be used to make bonnets, aprons and other items.
Now would be a good time to get into an exercise program that includes walking, since we will be doing a lot of that on the Trek.
This will not be a wilderness survival trek. We will have adequate amounts of food and water. There will also be adequate bathroom facilities.
With careful and prayerful preparation for this Pioneer Trek, each of you will be blessed by our Heavenly Father with a stronger testimony and understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You will come to have a greater appreciation for our pioneer ancestors, hear stories, experience thoughts and feelings that will touch your hearts and change your lives. This will be a spiritual experience and an opportunity that you and your families will talk about and treasure for many years to come. Please join with us in this exciting opportunity.
If you and your family would like to review the details of the trek and view some pictures, please visit the Web site at:
